What a fun day around town! I met up with this sweet couple for an early morning engagement session in Lockport, Illinois. This is such a great spot for portraits because there are countless places to stop and take great photos! We stated over by the Gaylord Building where the fall foliage was absolutely phenomenal (as it is every year). Not only is the building super picturesque, but so is the Lincoln Landing, the gorgeously charming park that is located within a few steps out the front door.
As we made our way into town, we planned a pit-stop at the Roxy Theatre. I was so thrilled when they pitched this idea during our consults since I have never shot at a movie theatre before & I love fun and unique ideas to add some flair to sessions, but these two are also avid movie goers, so that made the trip even more special. After some fun shots in front of the marquee & the box office, we went scouting for more great spots before the end of the hour.
Finally, we stumbled into Krema Coffee and I figured not only did these two deserve a treat after all that walking around, but I also thought it would be super cute to take some photos of them enjoying a cup of coffee together inside the cafe. The staff was super kind to let us photograph in there, and they were even giving us ideas on where we should set up our next shots! I am obsessed with the gallery to this day, and it just goes to show you that engagement sessions don’t have to be super extravagant! A simple walk can turn into a beautiful album you’ll cherish forever!
